ˇ@ Only by fostering a strong environmental protection industry can we effectively reduce cost in this area and facilitate the environmental protection movement.  To work toward this goal, the Ministry of Economic Affairs mandated that China Ecotek Corporation, in alliance with other state-owned and private enterprises, be established to provide leadership in environmental protection engineering projects.  This policy would enable China Ecotek to be the flagship of the environmental protection industry in Taiwan which sees as its goal to enhance environmental protection quality through the strengthening of engineering capacity and introduction of advanced technology from abroad.

 ˇ@Since its establishment, China Ecotek has achieved remarkable accomplishments in such areas as incinerator construction, waste water treatment and waste management.  It has also expanded its business into co-generation, rail and rapid-transit system, biopharmaceutical and biochemical technology, anti-corrosion and waterproof business, and turnkey projects.  In addition, China Ecotek is working with domestic and foreign companies in capacity building to upgrade its business potential in high-tech environmental protection.
