— Vision and Mission —
Only a vigorous environmental industry can drive down the cost of environmental protection and effectively promote environmental protection goals. In light of this reality, the Commission of National Corporations, Ministry of Economic Affairs assigned the China Steel Corporation the mission of directing reinvestment from other public and private enterprises in the establishment of the China Ecotek Corporation (CEC), which was founded in March 1993.
Apart from outstanding achievements and the accumulation of technology in electromechanical engineering and environmental engineering projects such as incinerators, water treatment facilities, and waste treatment plants, CEC has gradually expanded into such areas as steam-electricity cogeneration, railways and metro systems, biotechnology, corrosion and leak resistance engineering, and whole-plant turnkey projects. In addition, CEC has also stepped up technological collaboration with domestic and foreign firms as it increasingly moves into high-tech environmental areas.
After many years of diligent effort, we have not only accumulated impressive engineering technology, but also boosted our technical capabilities by training numerous young technical personnel boasting lofty academic credentials and high productivity. As far as internal management is concerned, we have established a sound cost estimation and control system and an effective procurement and contracting system. In conjunction with efficient assignment of project personnel, our internal management systems give us a very significant cost advantage. As more and more public construction projects adopt BT, BOO, and BOT formats, we at CEC will employ the China Steel Group's technical and financial strength as backing while striving to obtain more major public construction project contracts.
Our employees and management team uphold the four major business principles of excellence, sincerely, technology, and quality. Our stable growth helped us win 6th place in Commonwealth Magazine's 1998 ranking of the fastest-growing companies. Our stock was listed on the over-the-counter market in January 2000, and we successfully achieved stock exchange listing in September 2001. We have received certifications of ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management System, which have enhanced our overall capabilities and image.
CEC's mission is to become a world-class environmental protection technology and project company. We firmly believe that the joint efforts of our outstanding management team, young personnel, and hard-working employees will enable us to consolidate our role in Taiwan and expand overseas.
